Soy sauce stains on clothing, such as a trench coat, can be difficult to remove without the right technique. Many people think that the only way to get rid of a soy sauce stain is to take the garment to the dry cleaners, but that isn't necessary. With a few simple steps, you can remove the stain yourself with just a few common household items.
The first step in removing a soy sauce stain from a trench coat is to blot the stain with paper towels. Make sure to blot the stain and not rub it, as rubbing the stain could cause it to spread.
Once you have blotted the stain, apply a small amount of dish soap to the area. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing off the soap with clean water.
After rinsing off the soap, dab a small amount of oxygen bleach onto the stain. Gently work the oxygen bleach into the fabric and allow it to sit for a few minutes before rinsing it out with clean water.
If the stain has not completely disappeared after following these steps, repeat them as necessary until the stain is gone.
After the stain has been removed, let the garment air dry or use a hairdryer to dry the garment.
With the right approach, you can easily remove soy sauce stains from a trench coat. Just remember to blot stain initially and then use a combination of dish soap and oxygen bleach to get rid of stain. Finally, make sure to allow the garment to air dry.
