Step 1: Blot the Stain

The first step to removing a soy sauce stain is to blot the stained area with a cloth or paper towel. Do not rub the stain, as this will only make it worse. Instead, press firmly on the stain to absorb as much liquid as possible. Change the paper towel and repeat this several times until no more liquid can be absorbed.

Step 2: Use Laundry Detergent

Next, apply laundry detergent or liquid dish soap directly to the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, use a toothbrush to work the soap into the fabric by gently scrubbing the stain. Then, use warm water to rinse the soap from fabric.

Step 3: Wash the Sweatpants

Finally, place the sweatpants in the washing machine and add laundry detergent. Wash on a cold cycle and check when the cycle is done. If the stain has not come out completely, repeat steps 1-3 before washing again.

Conclusion

Getting soy sauce stains out of your sweatpants does not have to be a difficult task. All it takes is a few simple steps and you should have your sweatpants looking good as new!
