Using a clean paper towel or white cloth, gently blot the stained area to absorb as much of the soy sauce as possible. Do not rub the stain, as this may spread the stain to a larger area.
Mix a few drops of a liquid laundry detergent, like Tide or Persil, with lukewarm water. Using a clean cloth, gently apply the mixture to the stained area, working it into the fabric. Let the detergent work its magic for about 10 minutes, and then rinse the area with cold water.
If stain still remains, spray affected area of the pants with a heavy-duty stain remover, like Shout. Leave the product on the stain for about 5 minutes, and then rinse it off with cold water.
Put the pants in the washing machine with a mild detergent and cold water. To avoid further spreading the stain, make sure to check stain before putting the pants in the dryer. If the stain persists, repeat steps 2 and 3 before drying pants.
