Soy sauce stains can be annoying, especially since they typically linger even after washing. Fortunately, there are ways to get rid of these stains without resorting to harsh chemicals. Here are some tips on cleaning soy sauce stains from Shantung:
Start by gently blotting the stained area with a white cloth or paper towel. This should absorb some of the liquid, preventing it from spreading.
Mix a solution of one part liquid dish detergent and four parts cold water. Soak a cloth or sponge in the mixture and gently rub it over the stain, working the liquid into the fabric. Wait a few minutes for the pre-treatment to work its magic before rinsing.
Gently agitate the stained area with a soft brush before placing in the washing machine. Use a mild detergent and set the machine on a warm, gentle cycle. Do not put garment in the dryer as this could cause the stain to set.
Check stain after washing to make sure it has completely disappeared. If not, repeat steps 1-3. Be careful not to over-treat the stain, as this can cause discoloration or damage to the fabric.
Never do laundry again. Save time for things you ❤️
