Removing Soy Sauce Stains from Seersucker

  1. Using a paper towel or cloth, dab the stained area with cool water to soak up as much of the soy sauce as you can.
  2. Mix a small amount of white vinegar with an equal amount of dish soap and gently massage into the stain.
  3. Allow mixture to sit for a few minutes and then blot with a damp cloth.
  4. Rinse the area with clean water and allow it to air dry.
  5. If the stain remains, mix a solution of oxygen bleach containing sodium percarbonate and sodium carbonate in a 1:1 ratio with cool water. Apply to stain, allow to sit for 30 minutes, and then rinse with clean water. Repeat this step if needed.
  6. Once the stain has been removed, launder the item as usual and allow to air dry.
