What You’ll Need

  • Clean cloth
  • Mild detergent
  • Lukewarm water
  • White vinegar

Step 1: Blot Stain

Start by blotting the excess soy sauce off the satin fabric with a clean cloth. Make sure you don’t rub the stain, as this can spread it further and even damage the satin.

Step 2: Dilute the Stain

Mix a teaspoon of mild detergent with lukewarm water. Dip another clean cloth into the mixture and dab area affected by soy sauce stain. Keep blotting until stain has been lifted or completely removed.

Step 3: Rinse with Vinegar

Prepare a fresh solution with white vinegar and lukewarm water. Dip a clean cloth in it and dab the stained area. Make sure you don’t scrub the stain.

Step 4: Rinse with Cold Water

Rinse the satin fabric with cold water to remove any remaining residues. Blot the area with a dry cloth to remove excess moisture.

Step 5: Air Dry

Hang the satin fabric to air dry away from direct sunlight. Do not put the fabric in a dryer.
