Take a soft-bristled brush and gently scrape away any excess soy sauce that is sitting on the surface of your shoes. Do so lightly, as brushing too hard may cause damage to the fabric.
As soon as you’ve scraped off the excess soy sauce, apply a spot treatment product to the stain. This will help to penetrate fabric and begin to break down any residue.
Mix together dishwashing liquid and warm water in a bowl. Dip your toothbrush into the soapy solution and gently scrub the stain. Be sure to rinse the area with cold water after cleaning.
Mix together white vinegar and warm water in a bowl at a 1:3 ratio. Dip your toothbrush into the solution and scrub the stain briskly. White vinegar is a great natural cleaner that will help to remove stubborn stains.
Once you’ve completed all of the above steps, allow your shoes to air dry. You may want to stuff some newspaper into the shoes to help them keep their shape while they dry.
Soy sauce stains don't have to be permanent fixtures on your Reebok shoes. With these simple steps, you can easily remove the stain and get your shoes looking brand new in no time!
