The first thing you should do when cleaning soy sauce from rayon is to remove as much of the excess sauce as possible. You can do this by placing a clean, absorbent cloth on stain and gently blotting it away. Don’t rub or scrub at the stain, as this could cause the fabric to pills and tear.
Once the excess sauce has been removed, you can try using a commercial stain remover. Look for one that is specifically designed for use on rayon fabrics. Make sure to read the instructions on the package before applying the solution to the stain.
You can also try treating the stain with a small amount of laundry detergent. Make sure to use a mild detergent, such as a gentle dish soap, to prevent damaging the fabric. Apply the detergent directly to the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing.
Once the detergent has had time to work, rinse the stain with cold water. This will help remove any residual detergent and also remove some of the stain. Be sure to rinse until the water runs clear before moving on to the next step.
Finally, place the garment in a washing machine set on the hottest water temperature recommended for rayon. Add a mild detergent and let the cycle run until it is complete. Hang the garment to dry and inspect the stain. If the stain persists, repeat all of the steps until the stain is gone.
