Step 1: Scrape off any excess sauce

The first step is to remove any excess sauce from the parka. Use a spoon or dull knife to scrape away any thick clumps of soy sauce before you move on to next step.

Step 2: Blot the stain with a cloth

The next step is to blot the stain with a damp cloth. Make sure the cloth is not wet; it should only be damp. Gently press the cloth onto stain to soak up as much of the sauce as you can.

Step 3: Apply some detergent

Once you've blotted out as much of the soy sauce as possible, apply some detergent directly to the stain. A liquid laundry detergent should work best. Wait 5-10 minutes for detergent to do its job, then rinse it off with cold water.

Step 4: Repeat as necessary

If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stain is gone. You may need to repeat the process several times before the stain is completely gone.

Step 5: Throw the parka in wash

Once the stain is gone, it's time to throw the parka in washing machine. Use a gentle cycle and cold water, and make sure you read the care label on your parka to make sure fabric won't be damaged by hot water.
