If the soy sauce stain is particularly stubborn, you may need to use something stronger than just dishwashing detergent. Consider using diluted bleach or a stain-removing product like Shout, Resolve, or OxiClean. Be sure to read the care tag for your overalls first to make sure that the product is safe for the fabric, and always follow instructions on product’s label.
Once the stain is gone, rinse the area with cold water and let it air dry. If neccessary, repeat the steps until the stain is completely gone.
The best way to make sure that soy sauce doesn’t stain your overalls is to be extra careful when you eat. Wear an apron over your overalls while serving and eating food, and be sure to wipe up any spills as soon as they happen.
You can also consider treating your overalls with a stain-resistant spray like Scotchgard before wearing them. This will help prevent stains from setting in.
