The first step is to treat the stain with a laundry detergent as soon as possible. Give the garment a good rinse with cold water and apply a generous amount of laundry detergent directly onto the stain. Rub the detergent into stain with an old toothbrush or other soft bristled brush to help it penetrate the fabric of garment. Allow the detergent to sit for several minutes before rinsing it off with more cold water.

If this step isn't enough to remove the stain, you can try using white vinegar. First, mix a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Pour some of the solution onto the stain and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes. Next, use an old toothbrush or other soft bristled brush to rub the stain in a circular motion. Finally, rinse the garment with cold water and allow it to air dry.

For particularly stubborn soy sauce stains, you can use rubbing alcohol. Place a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a clean cloth or rag and dab it onto the stain. Allow the rubbing alcohol to sit for several minutes before rinsing the garment with cold water and air drying.

With these simple steps, you can easily clean soy sauce stains from your outerwear. Just remember to be gentle when scrubbing the stains with an old toothbrush or soft bristled brush and to rinse the garment with cold water until the stain is gone.
