What You'll Need:
- Clean cloth
- Cold water
- Mild detergent
- White vinegar
- Borax powder
- Laundry pre-treatment solution
Instructions:
- As soon as possible, rinse the stained area in cold water without soaking the dress.
- Mix a small amount of mild detergent with cold water and gently blot the stain with the cloth, taking care not to rub the fabric.
- If the stain persists, mix equal parts white vinegar and cold water and pat gently into the stain.
- Combine one tablespoon of Borax powder and one cup of cold water and dab the mixture into the stain.
- If the stain is still visible, use a laundry pre-treatment solution and let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing.
- Finally, launder the dress according to clothing care instructions.
Tips:
- Always test the stain removal solution on a hidden part of the clothing first.
- Be sure to use cold water and never apply heat or hot water to the stain, as this can set it.
- If the stain persists, you may need to repeat the process until it is gone.
- For tougher stains, try starting with the Borax powder solution before other options.
