  1. Start by running cold water over the soy sauce stain from reverse side to flush out as much of stain as possible.
  2. Mix 1 teaspoon of Seventh Generation laundry detergent with 1 cup of cold water in a bowl. Soak a clean cloth in solution and sponge the stain.
  3. Allow detergent mixture to sit on the stained area for 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
  4. Blot the area with a clean, dry cloth to remove as much moisture as possible.
  5. If any stained remains, mix 1 teaspoon of white vinegar with 2 cups of cold water and sponge onto the stain with a clean cloth. Let it set for 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
  6. To lift the remaining stain, use a toothbrush to scrub affected area with more of the detergent mixture.
  7. Finally, rinse area with cold water and allow the jeans to dry.
