Soy sauce is a popular ingredient for cooking and seasoning, but sometimes it can make a mess. Whether it’s spilled directly onto your countertops, or dripped onto kitchen utensils like spoons and forks, the dark blackish-brown stain of soy sauce can be quite daunting to remove. But don’t worry – there are several simple ways to get rid of those soy sauce stains from your kitchen utensils.

Method 1: Soak in Hot Water

The simplest and most effective way to remove soy sauce stains from kitchen utensils is to soak them in hot water. Fill a bowl or sink with hot water and add a tablespoon of dish soap. Submerge the utensil into the hot soapy water and let it soak for 5-10 minutes. The heat will help to break down the stain and dish soap will act as a grease-cutter. After soaking, take an old toothbrush or scrub brush and scrub the stain off of the utensil. If stain still remains, repeat the process until it is gone.

Method 2: Use Baking Soda Paste

If the soy sauce stain is particularly stubborn, you can try using a baking soda paste. Mix equal parts baking soda and water to create a thick paste. Apply paste to the stain and let it sit for 15-20 minutes before wiping it off. If the stain is still visible, you can use a soft brush to scrub away any remaining residue. Repeat process as needed until the stain is gone.

Method 3: Use White Vinegar Solution

White vinegar is highly effective at removing tough soy sauce stains. Simply mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water and pour the solution over stained utensil. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes and then scrub it off with a scrub brush or sponge. If stain remains, repeat the process until it is gone.

Removing soy sauce stains from kitchen utensils doesn’t have to be a challenge. With these simple methods, you can easily get rid of those pesky stains in no time!
