If you’ve recently had the misfortune of spilling some soy sauce on your favorite J.Crew top, don’t panic! While soy sauce can be a tricky stain to get out, you don’t need to give up and toss the garment just yet.
As soon as you notice the spill, act fast. Blot area with a towel or cloth to absorb excess sauce. If you have a stain remover spray or pre-wash spray on hand, apply it directly to the soiled surface. Make sure to blot the area after applying the spray.
If you have time on your hands, best way to get soy sauce stains out of J.Crew clothing is to wash it by hand. Fill a sink or tub with lukewarm water and add a few drops of detergent or stain remover. Soak the garment for 15 minutes before rinsing the fabric. Hang the garment to dry after giving it a good squeeze.
If you’re short on time, opt to machine-wash the garment in the gentlest cycle possible. Make sure to use cold water and a mild detergent. Before drying the garment, check to see if the stains are still visible. Re-wash the garment and repeat the process as necessary before hanging it out to dry.
With these simple steps, you can take care of pesky soy sauce stains on your favorite J.Crew garments. And remember – don’t forget to pre-treat any stain as soon as possible for the best results.
