Soy sauce is a delicious condiment but can quickly become a disaster if spilled onto clothing or fabric. It can be particularly difficult to remove from Irish crochet, as its intricate design can make it tricky to clean. But don’t despair; there are plenty of ways to tackle and successfully remove stubborn soy sauce stains from your delicate Irish crochet.

The first thing you need to do is blot up as much soy sauce as possible with a paper towel. Be sure to not rub the stain, as this will only spread it further. Don’t scrub it either, as this can damage delicate Irish crochet.
Mix together one tablespoon of mild detergent and two cups of cold water. Gently dab mixture onto the soy sauce stain. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cold water.
For more stubborn stains, mix together equal parts rubbing alcohol and white vinegar. Gently dab mixture onto the stain, then rinse with cold water. If the stain persists, repeat the process until the stain is removed.
If the above steps fail to remove the stain, try using an oxygen-based bleach. Mix together a cup of bleach and two gallons of cold water. Soak the fabric overnight in this mixture before washing as normal.
Removing soy sauce stains from Irish crochet can be a tricky task but it is possible. Just follow the steps given above and you should have no trouble eliminating even the most stubborn stain. Good luck!
