The first step in removing a soy-sauce stain is to clean up the excess liquid as soon as possible. If you can, use a clean cloth, paper towel, or napkin to soak up as much of the mess as possible, being careful not to rub it into the fabric. Once you have removed what you can, fold fabric and press firmly with your hands or a towel.
Next, create a cleaning solution by mixing 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid with 2 cups of cold water. Once the solution is mixed, submerge the stained area in it for a few minutes or use an old toothbrush to lightly scrub the area until stain is removed. You can also use a spray bottle to mist stain and then scrub the area with the toothbrush.
Once the stain has been removed, rinse off the soap and any left over soy sauce residue with cold water. Be sure to rinse until all traces of the cleaning solution are gone. You can repeat steps one and two if needed.
Finally, use a clean towel to gently pat the area dry. Allow the area to air dry completely before wearing or washing the item.
With the right supplies and techniques, removing a soy sauce stain from Hollister clothes doesn't have to be a hassle. Follow these simple steps and you'll have that pesky stain gone in no time!
