How to Remove Soy Sauce Stains from Handbags with Ease

Accidentally spilling soy sauce on your favorite handbag can ruin the look of it. That doesn’t mean you have to throw away bag or live with the stain forever. With right cleaning tips, you can easily remove the stain and restore your handbag to its original condition.

What you need

  • Mild detergent solution
  • Soft cloth
  • White vinegar
  • Water

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Blot the excess soy sauce off the handbag with a clean cloth.
  2. Mix a mild detergent solution ( 1 tsp detergent to 1 cup of lukewarm water). Dip a soft cloth into the solution and wipe it gently onto stained area.
  3. Rinse the area with lukewarm water and then let it dry completely.
  4. If the stain persists, mix equal parts of white vinegar and water and apply this solution to stained area. Leave it for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Rinse the area with lukewarm water and let it dry.

Additional Tips

  • Always check the care label of your handbag before attempting to clean it. Some materials may be sensitive to certain cleaning solutions.
  • Deep stains may require multiple treatments.
  • When drying, avoid direct heat like hot air or sun as this can cause fading and discoloration.
