What You'll Need To Eliminate The Stain

  • White vinegar or lemon juice
  • Cold water
  • Laundry detergent
  • Rubbing alcohol (optional)

Removing Soy Sauce Stains From Flannel

  1. Blot the soy sauce stain with a paper towel or clean cloth to remove any excess liquid. Don't rub or scrub, as this can spread the stain further.
  2. Create a cleaning mixture using white vinegar or lemon juice and cold water. Dip a clean cloth or sponge into the mixture and gently dab at the stain.
  3. If the stain persists, add a drop or two of laundry detergent directly onto the stain. Gently work the detergent into the stain with a soft cloth. Use a circular motion to help lift the stain.
  4. Rinse the spot with cold water and continue to blot it with a clean cloth until you don't see any more of the stain coming up.
  5. If stain still lingers, you can try using rubbing alcohol on the stained area. Dip a clean cloth into the rubbing alcohol and gently rub it onto the stain.
  6. Continue blotting it with a clean cloth until the stain has been completely removed.
  7. Finally, launder the item according to care label instructions.

Tips For Removing Soy Sauce Stains

  • Act quickly when dealing with soy sauce stains on fabrics. The sooner you act, the easier it will be to get the stain out.
  • Never pour rubbing alcohol directly onto fabric. This can cause discoloration and weaken the fabric threads.
  • Avoid using hot water or heat when attempting to remove the stain, as this can set stain.
  • Before laundering the fabric, make sure the stain is completely gone.
