Step 1: Blot the Stain

The first thing you’ll need to do is to blot the stain with a clean, dry cloth. This will help to absorb as much of soy sauce as possible. Be sure to dab and not rub stain, as rubbing can spread the stain further.

Step 2: Use a Cleaning Solution

Once you’ve blotted stain, mix together a solution of one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and one cup of warm water. Dip a clean cloth in solution and use it to gently scrub the soy sauce stain. Be sure not to scrub too hard, as this could damage material of the shoe.

Step 3: Rinse Away the Soap

Once you’ve scrubbed the stain, rinse away the soap with a damp cloth. Be sure to use only cold water when rinsing, as hot water can cause stain to set and become even more difficult to remove.

Step 4: Wipe Away Any Excess Moisture

Next, take a clean, dry cloth and use it to wipe away any excess moisture from the shoe. This will help to ensure that the stain is gone and that there’s no residue left behind.

Step 5: Let it Dry

Once you’ve wiped away the excess moisture, let your shoes air-dry. Do not put them in the dryer, as this could cause the stain to become permanent.
