- As soon as the stain occurs, blot area to absorb as much of the soy sauce as possible with a paper towel or cloth.
- Then, rinse the area with cold water and repeat blotting process until no more liquid can be removed.
- Next, make a mixture of warm water and laundry detergent. Dip a cloth into the solution and dab affected area in a downward motion.
- Once the stain has been treated, place the clothing in warm water for 10-15 minutes.
- Finally, launder item according to the instructions and air dry.
Removing Set-In Soy Sauce Stains
- First, create a paste using a mixture of water and laundry detergent, then spread it onto the stained area.
- Allow the paste to sit for 15-30 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water.
- If the stain still remains, mix 2 teaspoons of white vinegar with 1 cup of water and use a sponge to dab the solution onto the stain.
- After letting the solution sit for 10 minutes, blot the stained area with a cloth.
- If necessary, repeat process until stain disappears.
