Step 1: Blot the Stain

Use a cloth or cotton swab and gently blot the affected area to absorb any excess soy sauce. Avoid rubbing the stain as this can further spread stain.

Step 2: Dilute Soy Sauce

Mix a few drops of liquid dish soap with warm water and use a sponge to rub the area gently. Make sure to avoid scrubbing too vigorously as it may damage the material. Rinse the cleaned area with clean water.

Step 3: Apply OxiClean

Mix 1 tablespoon of OxiClean with 1/2 cup of water and put the solution into a spray bottle. Spray the stain with the solution and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes. After it sits, gently scrub the stain with a brush or sponge and rinse with clean water.

Step 4: Apply Vinegar Solution

Mix 1/4 cup of white vinegar with 1/2 cup of water. Soak a cloth in the mixture and apply directly to the stain. Let vinegar solution sit on the stain for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

Step 5: Wash Down Jacket

Follow instructions on the label of your down jacket and wash the stained area. Make sure to use cold water and a gentle detergent to avoid causing further damage.

Step 6: Let Dry

Allow area to air dry completely before wearing your down jacket again.

Step 7: Repeat if Necessary

It may take several attempts to fully remove soy sauce stain. Repeat the above steps if necessary until the stain is no longer visible.
