Double georgette is a light, airy fabric that is often used for summer dresses and evening wear. It’s delicate nature makes it vulnerable to staining, particularly from oil-based products like soy sauce.

What You Need

  • Dry cleaning solvent
  • White cloth
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Scrape off any excess soy sauce from the affected area using a spoon or dull knife.
  2. Dab some dry cleaning solvent onto a white cloth and gently dab at the stain.
  3. Mix equal parts dishwashing liquid and water and pour it onto stained area.
  4. Gently rub the mixture into the stain using a circular motion.
  5. Rinse off the solution, then dab area with a dry cloth.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 until the stain is gone.

Additional Tips

  • Never rub a stain too hard, as this may cause damage to the fabric fibers.
  • Always check the garment tag for cleaning instructions before attempting any stain removal.
  • Take the garment to dry cleaners if you are unsure or uncertain about how to remove a stain.
