When soy sauce splashes onto your favorite clothes, it’s natural to panic. But don’t throw away the garment just yet! With a few simple steps, you can get soy sauce stains out of any fabric with ease.
Mix one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and two cups of warm water in a bowl. You can also use a store-bought stain remover if you have some on hand.
Using a clean cloth or sponge, apply the stain remover mixture or store-bought solution onto soy sauce stain. Gently rub area in a circular motion to help loosen the stain.
After applying the stain remover, let it sit for 10 minutes. Then, wash the crop top according to its care instructions. For best results, use cold water and a mild laundry soap.
Once your crop top is thoroughly washed and rinsed, hang it to dry outside or in dryer. Avoid direct sunlight though, as this can fade or discolor the fabric.
