If the soy sauce spill is still wet, blot the stain with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Do not rub or scrub the area as this may spread the stain further and damage the delicate fabric. Begin blotting from the outside of stain towards the center, as this will prevent the stain from spreading.
Once the excess liquid has been removed, a pre-treatment stain remover can be applied to the area. Let product sit for 5 minutes to allow it to soak into the fabric before rinsing.
Next, wash garment according to the care instructions on tag. For delicate fabrics, spot cleaning or machine washing on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent should do the trick. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
