To start, it's important to act fast and dab the stain after it happens. It always preferable to treat a stain as soon as you notice it. If you can't immediately tend to stain, then you'll want to let the garment sit overnight in room temperature water with a small amount of laundry detergent added in.
Once you've let the garment soak, turn it inside out, and start scrubbing the soy sauce stain with a soft cloth and a mixture of two teaspoons of laundry detergent and a quart of warm water. You should also be sure to rinse the cleaning cloth before applying more detergent and water to stain. Then, spray stained area with a pre-treatment spray, such as Shout, and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Next, throw Chico into the washing machine on a warm cycle. After running through the cycle, check to see if the stain is gone. If it isn't, repeat the process until stain disappears. Once you are done, hang your Chicos up to dry, rather than putting them in the dryer, as heat can set stain.
Now you know how to get rid of soy sauce stains from your Chicos! Follow these steps and you'll be sure to have lovely garments free of any pesky stains.
