Accidents happen! If you accidentally spilled soy sauce on your cargo pants, fear not. These four easy steps will have them looking good as new in no time.

As soon as you notice the stain, start by blotting it gently with a cloth or paper towels. Don’t rub or scrub the material, as this could spread the stain or even weaken the fabric.
Mix together one part cold water and one part detergent-free soap. Soak the stained area for at least 15 minutes. Check to make sure that the stain has not spread during this time.
Carefully remove cargo pants from the cold water and soap mixture and place them into a washing machine on gentle cycle. Make sure to use cold water and wash alone (so stain doesn’t spread to other clothes).
To remove any remaining traces of stain, hand wash cargo pants by soaking them in slightly warm water and detergent-free soap. Once you’re done, rinse with cold water, blot with a cloth, and let them air dry.
