Nobody likes to have a stain on their clothing – especially a soy sauce stain on a pair of briefs. It doesn’t have to be a permanent problem, though. Here are the steps you can take to remove that stain and reclaim your pre-dinner piece of clothing:

  1. Mix a small amount of mild laundry detergent with water to create a soapy solution.
  2. Dab the solution onto the stained area of the brief using a clean white cloth.
  3. Gently massage the solution into the stain and let sit for several minutes.
  4. Rinse the fabric with cold water.
  5. Wash the brief in the washing machine with a normal load of laundry.

If you have followed these steps and the stain is still there, try the same process again but use rubbing alcohol instead of mild detergent. As always, make sure to check the tags on your brief to make sure that fabric can handle rubbing alcohol. If the stain still won’t budge, it’s time to take your brief to dry cleaner.

Stains don’t have to last forever. With the right techniques, you can remove soy sauce stains from briefs just as easily as you can from any other piece of clothing.
