Regardless of if you're enjoying your favorite sushi dish, or simply grabbed a snack on the go, sometimes disasters happen - and soy sauce ends up on your clothing and shoes. But while it may seem difficult to remove, with the right tools, you can have your boots looking as good as new in no time. Here's what you'll need for job:
Now let's get started:
Start by blotting the stain with a rag or paper towel until there is no more liquid on the surface. Be careful not to scrub at the stain as this could make it spread further.
Mix equal parts vinegar and baking soda together in a bowl. Once mixed, add a few drops of dish soap and enough water to make a paste. Make sure the paste is thick, but not too thick that it won't spread.
Using a clean rag, apply paste to the stained area. Work paste into the fabric gently and let sit for 10-15 minutes before removing.
Once the paste is removed, use a damp cloth to remove any remaining residue. For best results, put the boots in the washing machine for a gentle cycle. Hang them up to air dry.
