The first step when removing a soy sauce stain from fabric is to act quickly. Gently blot at the stain with a paper towel or damp cloth to absorb some of the liquid. Do not rub stain as this may spread it and make it even harder to remove. If possible, turn garment inside out to prevent the stain from bleeding onto other parts of the garment.

Entirely saturating the stained area in cold water and then washing the garment with a heavy-duty laundry detergent is usually enough to remove the soy sauce. If a stain remains, you can use a paste made of baking soda and water by rubbing it into the stained area. Let it sit for about 30 minutes before putting it in washing machine.

Alternatively, you can use a natural stain remover like white vinegar and let it soak for an hour before washing. If the stain is still visible, you can also use a stronger product such as oxygen bleach. After treating the stain, wash the item in the hottest temperature recommended by the fabric’s care label.

Once the wash is complete, air-dry the garment and inspect the area. Apply a stain-fighting brush or pre-treatment spray if necessary before attempting to wash the garment again. Following these steps should help you easily remove any soy sauce stains from your blouse.
