What You Need

  • Dish soap
  • Warm water
  • Cotton swab
  • Laundry detergent

Step 1: Rinse barrette with warm water

Run the affected area of the barrette under warm water for a few minutes. This will help to remove any excess soy sauce and help loosen the stain.

Step 2: Use a cotton swab and dish soap

Dip a cotton swab into a bowl of dish soap and water. Gently scrub the stained area of the barrettes with the cotton swab until stain starts to come out. Be careful not to scrub too hard as this may cause damage to the barrette.

Step 3: Rinse again with warm water

Rinse off the soap and the stain with warm water. Check to see if the stain has been completely removed.

Step 4: Use laundry detergent

If the stain is still visible, mix a small amount of laundry detergent in a bowl of warm water. Dip a cotton swab into the mixture and apply it directly to the stained area of barrette. Gently scrub the area until stain is gone. Rinse it off with warm water and check to make sure the stain is gone.

Conclusion

Cleaning soy sauce stains from barrettes doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming. With just a few simple steps, you can easily get rid of stain and make your barrette look like new again!
