What You Need

  • Sponge or cloth
  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar
  • Dish soap
  • Water

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Blot up the excess soy sauce with a sponge or cloth.
  2. Mix together 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.
  3. Gently rub the paste into the soy sauce stain until it is completely covered.
  4. Let the paste sit for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Wipe the paste off with a damp cloth.
  6. If the stain remains, mix together 1 tablespoon of dish soap with 2 cups of warm water.
  7. Soak a cloth in the soapy water and dab it onto the stain.
  8. Rinse the cloth with clean water and continue to dab the stain until it has been removed.
  9. Wipe down area with a dry cloth.
