Rinse the fabric with cold water from backside of the stain to force the spill out. Do not rub or scrub the area, as this can cause the stain to set in further.
Mix one tablespoon of dish soap and one tablespoon of white vinegar into one cup of warm water. Stir until the ingredients are fully dissolved.
Gently dab the cleaning solution onto the stain with a soft brush. Make sure to work from the outside of the stain inward so that it does not spread. Let the solution sit for five minutes, and then blot fabric with a damp cloth.
If necessary, rinse area with another round of cold water from the backside of the fabric. Then repeat steps two through four until stain is gone.
Wash the stain with your usual laundry detergent and fabric softener. Hang dry to avoid shrinkage.
