What You'll Need:

  • Clothing brush
  • White cloth
  • Bowl of warm water
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • All-purpose detergent
  • White vinegar

Steps to Remove Soy Sauce Stains

  1. If the stain is still fresh, start by brushing the affected area with a clothing brush.
  2. Dab a white cloth in warm water and lightly blot stain until all residual soy sauce is removed.
  3. Mix 1 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol with 2 teaspoons of all-purpose detergent and 1 teaspoon of white vinegar.
  4. Apply mixture to the stain and gently rub with your fingers.
  5. Rinse the stained area with warm water and air-dry.

Additional Tips

  • Always test the cleaning solution on a small, hidden area of fabric before applying it to the stain.
  • Be sure to use a stain remover specifically meant for your accessory's fabric if available.
  • Avoid using an iron, hair dryer or any other heat source on the stain, as this may cause soy sauce stain to set into the fabric.
