Materials Needed

  • A soft cloth or sponge
  • Laundry detergent
  • Rubbing alcohol or white vinegar
  • A brush or toothbrush

Instructions:

  1. Start by gently blotting the stain with a damp cloth or sponge until you can no longer get any of the stain off.
  2. Add a few drops of laundry detergent to the stain and rub it in with your fingers or with a brush or toothbrush.
  3. Rinse the laundry detergent off with warm water.
  4. If the stain is still there, try using rubbing alcohol or white vinegar to loosen it. Pour a small amount of either onto a cloth or sponge and dab the stain with it.
  5. Rinse the umbrella again with warm water.
  6. Let the umbrella air dry.

Additional Tips

  • Always test any cleaning solution on a small discreet part of the umbrella before applying it to a large area.
  • When using rubbing alcohol or white vinegar, make sure to use them in a well-ventilated area.
  • Always read the care instructions for your umbrella before attempting to clean any stains.
