What You'll Need
- Dish soap
- Baking soda
- White vinegar
- Old toothbrush
- Clean towels
Instructions
- Gently scrape off any excess shoe polish from the fabric using a dull knife or spoon.
- Create a paste using dish soap, baking soda and white vinegar. Mix until it forms a thick paste.
- Spread the paste over the stained area and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Gently scrub the stained area with an old toothbrush. Rinse with warm water.
- If the stain persists, repeat steps 2-4.
- Once the stain has been removed, gently dab the area with a clean towel to absorb any remaining moisture.
Tips
- Be sure to use a gentle hand when scraping away excess shoe polish.
- Before trying any cleaning methods on your socks, test them first on an inconspicuous area to make sure they won’t cause further damage.
