- Clean cloths
- Absorbent powder
- Liquid detergent (preferably a gentle detergent)
- White vinegar
Instructions
- Blot the stain with a clean cloth before treating it. Be sure to use a gentle blotting motion.
- Apply some absorbent powder (such as cornstarch or talcum powder) to the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes before brushing it off.
- Soak stained area in a mixture of liquid detergent and warm water for 30 minutes.
- Rinse the area with cold water and then blot dry with a clean cloth.
- If the stain is still visible, mix together one part white vinegar and four parts water. Soak the area in the mixture for 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water and blot dry.
- Repeat steps 3-5 until the stain is gone.
