What You'll Need

  • A small bowl
  • Liquid laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Oxygen bleach agent
  • A soft cloth

Step 1: Dilute the Detergent

In the small bowl, mix together one part liquid laundry detergent with two parts lukewarm water. Be sure to stir the mixture until it is completely combined.

Step 2: Place Scarf in Solution

Submerge the affected areas of the scarf into the solution. Allow the scarf to soak for approximately 10 minutes.

Step 3: Apply Vinegar

After scarf has finished soaking, place a few drops of white vinegar on the stains. Use a soft cloth to gently scrub scarf, being sure to focus on the affected areas.

Step 4: Wash with Oxygen Bleach Agent

Put your scarf in washing machine and set it to a delicate cycle. Add a half cup of oxygen bleach agent to the load and complete the cycle as you normally would.

Step 5: Dry and Enjoy!

Once the washing machine has finished its cycle, remove the scarf and lay it flat on a towel to dry. Now your scarf is as good as new!
