Materials You'll Need
- Laundry detergent
- Oxygen-based bleach (optional)
- Cleaning cloths
- Hot water (for natural/synthetic fabric)
- Cold water (for delicate fabric)
Steps to Remove the Stain
- When you've noticed the stain, carefully scrape off as much of the residue as you can with a dull knife. Don't use a sharp one, or you might damage your clothing.
- Place stained area of the fabric in hot or cold water and add a few drops of laundry detergent.
- Soak skirt for 30 minutes, then rinse it off and squeeze out any excess water.
- If the stain persists, use oxygen-based bleach to lighten it. Apply a small amount on the stain and let it sit for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off. Be sure to read the instructions on the packaging to determine how much bleach to use.
- Take a damp cleaning cloth and dab the area gently until the stain is gone.
- Finally, leave your skirt out to air-dry.
