Remove Shoe Polish Stains from Paul Smith Shoes with Ease

Things You'll Need
- Cleaning cloths
- Water
- Windex
- Dish soap
- Toothbrush
- Shoe brush
- Leather conditioner
Removing the Stain
- Immediately wet the shoe polish stain with a damp cloth, and then gently dab the area until cloth does not pick up any more of the stain.
- Mix Windex with a few drops of dish soap. Dip a clean cloth in the solution and dab it on the stain. Scrub gently using a toothbrush. Rinse the cloth out and repeat until all of the stain has been removed.
- Once the stain is gone, rinse the area with clean water and allow it to dry completely.
- Apply a leather conditioner to area to help restore the leather to its original state.
- Brush the area with a suede brush or soft-bristled brush to help fluff the leather and make it look more vibrant.
Preventing Future Stains
- Always test the shoe polish you use on an inconspicuous area before applying it to the shoe.
- Apply shoe polish in thin layers with a clean, soft brush.
- When finished applying the shoe polish, wipe off any excess with a clean cloth.
- After every use, make sure to store your Paul Smith shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
