Step 1: Blot the Stain

Using a soft cloth, absorb as much of the shoe polish as possible. Start form the edges and work your way in. Do not rub it in, just blot.

Step 2: Apply Cleaning Solvent

Gently pour cleaning solvent on affected area. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then rinse off with cold water.

Step 3: Try Vinegar and Water Solution

Create a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water and apply it to the stain. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Blot with a damp cloth and rinse the area with cold water.

Step 4: Baking Soda and Dish Soap

Mix a tablespoon of baking soda and a tablespoon of dish soap. Apply it to the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes. Blot with a damp cloth and rinse with cold water.

Following these steps, you should be able to get rid of any shoe polish stains on your parka. Be sure to avoid rubbing the fabric together when cleaning and always air dry after washing. Good luck and happy cleaning!
