The first step in removing a shoe polish stain from your Levi's is to identify the type of stain it is. Different types of shoe polish can react differently to removal techniques. Knowing which type of shoe polish stain you have will help you know which removal method to use.
Once you've identified the type of shoe polish stain, you can begin to remove it. Using a Q-tip or cotton ball, test one spot with your chosen removal method before treating entire stain. This will ensure that the removal method is not discoloring the fabric or causing the stain to spread.
Once you've tested and treated the shoe polish stain, wash fabric following the cleaning instructions on garment's label. Be sure to launder the item separately from other garments, and never put it in the dryer until you are certain the stain has been completely removed.
