Removal Process

  1. If the shoe polish stain is still wet, soak it with cold water immediately. Do not use hot water, as this will cause the shoe polish to set into the fabric.
  2. Rub a mild detergent onto the affected area and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Soak the item in lukewarm water for 30 minutes.
  4. Gently rub the stained area with a soft cloth until the shoe polish is completely gone.
  5. Rinse well with lukewarm water and let the item air dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area before applying directly to the stain.
  • Be careful not to rub too hard or to allow the cleaning solution to penetrate too deeply into the fabric.
  • Do not use bleach, as it will cause damage to the fabric.
