Fortunately, there is no need to worry about your much-loved jumper being stained by shoe polish – there are many household items that you can use to remove it safely and effectively.

Removing Shoe Polish Stains from Jumpers:

Method 1: Household Cleaning Products

  • Begin by blotting away any excess shoe polish on the jumper with a damp clean cloth.
  • Apply some dish detergent directly onto the stain and let it sit for several minutes.
  • After a few minutes, use a scrub brush to gently rub the detergent into affected area.
  • Rinse the detergent off with cold water and then inspect the area to ensure that the stain has been removed.

Method 2: Baking Soda Paste

  • Start by creating a paste by mixing one tablespoon of baking soda with two tablespoons of cold water in a bowl.
  • Using your fingers, apply the paste to shoe polish stain and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Once time has elapsed, use a scrub brush to rub the paste into the affected area.
  • Finally, rinse the paste away with cold water and inspect the area to ensure that the stain has been removed.

If your jumper is still showing signs of the shoe polish stain after following these two methods, you may need to take it to the dry cleaner for a professional treatment.
