How to Easily Remove Shoe Polish Stains from Goggles

Shoe polish stains on your goggles can be a nuisance, but don’t worry – they aren’t as difficult to remove as they may seem. With a few household items and simple steps, you can quickly get rid of these pesky shoe polish marks.

What You’ll Need

  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Cotton swab
  • Paper towel
  • Water
  • Mild soap

Instructions

  1. Using a cotton swab, apply rubbing alcohol directly to the shoe polish stain.
  2. Rub the stained area with the alcohol-dipped cotton swab for several seconds.
  3. Once most of the shoe polish is removed, apply a small amount of mild soap to stained area, then rub it in using a paper towel.
  4. Rinse off the soap with warm water.
  5. Allow goggles to air dry.

Additional Tips and Tricks

  • If the stain is particularly stubborn, try using an old toothbrush to gently scrub away residue.
  • If you’re having difficulty removing the shoe polish, apply a bit more rubbing alcohol and try again.
  • Be sure to use mild soap and warm water, as harsh detergents and hot temperatures can damage the lenses.
