Gazar fabric is a lightweight, sheer material made of silk or rayon. It is commonly used for evening gowns, skirts, and dresses as it is very smooth, lustrous, and usually comes in vibrant colors. Since gazar fabric is so delicate, cleaning stains from it requires some extra care.
Shoe polish, also known as shoe cream, is a substance used to enhance the appearance and longevity of shoes. It is usually a wax-based product that improves the color of the leather, seals in moisture, and provides a glossy shine. As you can imagine, shoe polish can be quite difficult to remove from any surface, let alone gazar fabrics.
The first step is to soak the stained fabric in hot water for 10-15 minutes. This will help loosen up shoe polish and make it easier to remove. Be sure to use the hottest water that is safe for your fabric.
Once fabric is soaked, mix a solution of one tablespoon of laundry detergent and one cup of white vinegar. Using a soft cloth, gently rub the solution into the stain. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
If the stains still persist, turn your iron to its lowest setting and place a damp cloth over the stain. Gently press the iron over the cloth for a few seconds and then lift it up. Repeat the process a few more times until stain has lifted.
Keeping gazar fabrics clean is an important part of preserving their appearance. With these three steps, you can easily remove shoe polish stains in no time. Just remember to work quickly and be gentle for best results.
