- Soft cloths
Steps to Clean Shoe Polish Stains from Converse:
- Mix a few drops of mild detergent with warm water in the bucket. The water shouldn’t be too hot, as it could cause permanent shrinkage in the canvas.
- Dip the stiff-bristle brush into the soapy solution and scrub the shoe polish stains. Be sure to scrub firmly, but not so hard that it damages material.
- Once the shoe polish stain is gone, rinse the affected area with clean water.
- Wipe wet area with a clean, soft cloth.
- Allow your Converse to air dry.
Additional Tips & Warnings:
- Be sure to test a small area of the Converse with the soapy solution before you apply it to the entire shoe.
- Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive bristles, as they may damage the material.
