Step 1: Use a soft cloth to remove any excess shoe polish.

Before you start with any of the product treatments, try to remove as much of shoe polish stain as possible with a soft cloth. Simply dab the cloth with some warm water and gently scrub excess polish away.

Step 2: Pre-treat the stain with laundry detergent.

Create a paste with equal amounts of laundry detergent and water. Apply the paste directly onto the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then use a soft cloth soaked in warm water and gently scrub the stain away.

Step 3: Spray stain remover on the affected area.

Apply a spot stain remover or pre-treatment spray directly onto the stain and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then use a soft cloth soaked in warm water and gently scrub stain away.

Step 4: Wash as usual according to fabric care instructions.

Once you've removed as much of the shoe polish stain as possible, launder your capris as usual according to the fabric care instructions.

Final Step: Repeat if necessary.

If the stain is still visible, repeat step 2, 3, and 4 until the stain is completely gone.
