Step 1: Preparation

Before you take any action, make sure that your piece of activewear is washable. If not, it means that it was not designed to withstand water and detergents and you should look for other ways to remove the stains.

Step 2: Wet the Stained Area

Gently press on the stained area with a damp cloth until the shoe polish begins to dissolve and transfer to cloth. Do not rub or scrub aggressively since this could damage your garment.

Step 3: Apply the Detergent

Squirt a bit of liquid detergent onto the stained area. Make sure not to use too much detergent.

Step 4: Rub and Rinse

Gently rub detergent into the stained area. Once the detergent is well-absorbed, rinse the fabric thoroughly with warm water.

Step 5: Repeat if necessary

If the stain persists after first attempt, repeat steps 2-4 until stain has faded away.

Step 6: Dry

Allow fabric to air dry or place it in a clothes dryer on the lowest heat setting for 10 minutes. This will give your activewear a fresh and clean look.
