The first step is to immediately rinse the stain under cold running water . This helps remove any excess polish before further steps are taken. After rinsing the stain, use a mild soap to gently scrub the area before rinsing it again. If the stain persists, it may be necessary to use a commercial stain remover such as a laundry pre-treatment spray or cream cleanser.

For tougher cases, try using vinegar and liquid dish soap . Mix one teaspoon of vinegar with two teaspoons of liquid dish soap and apply to the stain. Rub the mixture into the fabric and allow to sit for 15 minutes. After this, launder the garment as normal. For large or particularly tough stains, repeat this process.

If all else fails, it’s always best to employ professional dry cleaning services. Professional cleaners have access to specialized machinery and chemicals that can help to completely remove even the most stubborn of stains.
